Since the XII century, more and more people fall in love with checkers. Younger generations enthusiastically gather by the board with the aim to take as many enemy’s figures as it’s possible and to reach the edge of the board where a regular figure becomes a king. There are various variants of the game. The most popular is the one that you can play on a chessboard but the international variant uses a board with 100 squares (also called Polish draughts) is the only variant which is considered to be a sports discipline. Figures and squares on the board are marked so the blind players could easily distinguish the colors.
